A GlamAR alternative for jewelry try-on

3JD is a GlamAR alternative for jewelry stores that sell rings. Its try-on runs in the phone's browser by live camera, hand photo or model hand, estimates the ring size, and keeps camera frames on the shopper's device. The same 3D file also drives photoreal renders, a ring builder and embeds. Last checked: 8 October 2026, against GlamAR's own pages, listed under Sources.

Who each tool is for

3JD is for jewellers who sell rings online and want try-on to be one part of a single 3D setup: the file that gives you photoreal renders also gives you the virtual ring try-on, a ring builder with live pricing, and embeds for your own site or Shopify store.

GlamAR offers rings a 360° viewer, live-camera AR try-on and a ring configurator, can create the 3D models from your existing CAD files, and works with Shopify, WooCommerce and Magentosrc. Its pricing is quote-based: a one-time setup fee and a monthly cost set by the number of try-ons each monthsrc.

When to choose GlamAR

GlamAR suits a store that would rather not handle 3D files at all: it offers to create the 3D models from your existing CAD filessrc, and its try-on is sold as a quoted service, with a setup fee and a monthly cost that scales with try-ons, an SDK, and integrations that include Magento. For a larger retailer that wants try-on managed for it, that is a real advantage.

3JD try-on covers rings. Some try-on jobs are not live in it yet:

  • Face-tracked try-on for earrings and necklaces. It is on the roadmap.
  • Trying several rings on at once to see a stack. Stacking try-on is also on the roadmap.

If one of these is what your store needs today, a product built around those categories may suit you better.

Questions

Does 3JD try-on need an app?

No. Try-on runs in the phone's browser, so a shopper taps the try-on button on your product page and the camera opens there, with nothing to install.

Do camera images leave the shopper's device?

No. Camera frames stay in the shopper's browser; the hand tracking runs on the device.

Can shoppers try on earrings or necklaces?

Not yet. 3JD try-on is for rings today, and face-tracked earring and necklace try-on is on the roadmap.

How current is this comparison?

Last checked: 8 October 2026. The 3JD column comes from the product itself. Every GlamAR fact comes from GlamAR's own website, is marked with a link to its page, and is listed under Sources; where their site does not list something, the table says so.
