Orbit and zoom

Drag to orbit, scroll / pinch to zoom. The piece auto-spins once when it loads, then settles so you can inspect it.

Reset view

Reset view (bottom bar) returns to the opening view: the angle every ring is first shown at. Camera and capture covers where that opening view is set.

Transform: place the piece

Transform (bottom bar) places the piece itself, for uploads and built rings alike: Move drags it freely, Rotate turns it (a built ring turns about its own centre) and Move ground slides it across the floor. The floor follows the piece, so its shadow and reflection stay attached however you tilt or move it. Not available while it sits on the hand or in the box; your placement comes back when you leave.

Turn the piece to an exact angle

The rotation widget at the top right of the view turns the piece in place, about its centre, for uploads and built rings alike. Its gizmo shows the piece's own X (red), Y (green) and Z (blue) axes as you see them, and follows the camera as you orbit.

  • Type an angle in degrees for X, Y or Z. The arrow keys step it by 15°.
  • Turn 90° with the button beside an axis. Hold Shift to turn back.
  • Drag the gizmo to turn the piece freely.
  • Reset sets all three back to 0.

These are the same angles Transform's Rotate sets, so each picks up where the other left off, and they save with the design. On a phone, tap the small gizmo at the top right to open the fields. Like Transform, it is hidden while the piece sits on the hand or in the box.
